Gilbert began his professional journey as an underwriter in the mortgage industry, working with several esteemed financial institutions, including JP Morgan Chase, Wells Fargo, and Reliant Financing, from 2003 to 2022. During this time, he developed expertise in reviewing and evaluating financial documents, analyzing customer credit profiles, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. He also honed his skills in risk assessment and decision-making, successfully navigating complex financial situations.
In 2023, Gilbert transitioned to a new role as a Commercial Real Estate Associate at Pacific Coast Commercial in San Diego. In this position, he worked on leasing and
sales of retail, office, and industrial properties, working closely with property management teams to negotiate renewals and ensure smooth deal execution. He is eager to learn and grow within the commercial real estate sector, focusing on hospitality and enhancing client relationships through innovative marketing strategies.
Originally from San Pedro, Gilbert enjoys working out and exploring new restaurants with his wife, as well as attending concerts in his free time. He is excited about his new position at SVN Vanguard and looks forward to the opportunities it presents in the vibrant field of retail and hospitality.
