Melinda most recently worked as an Executive Assistant at Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) in San Diego from 2019 to 2022 supporting cyber security across the Navy and the Department of Defense. Prior to this, she was the Manufacturing Supervisor at Evan Healy, an organic facial product company in San Diego, from 2016 to 2019. Melinda earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry which led her to join the U.S. Navy starting as a Nuclear Physics and Chemistry teacher for her first four years, and then she ultimately retired as a Commander after 20 years of service. She was born in El Dorado, Kansas and was stationed in Orlando, Guam, and Monterey before settling in San Diego. Melinda has traveled to Switzerland, Austria, France, England, Germany, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan, and Mexico, in addition to SCUBA diving on W.W. II wrecks in the lagoons of little known Palau (a.k.a. Belau) and Chuuk (a.k.a. Truk). Besides enjoying SCUBA diving and snorkeling, Melinda is an extreme gardener, avid sewer and crafter, is a bibliophile, and enjoys year-around golfing in sunny San Diego. As SVN’s newest Property Manager, Melinda is very honored to join the team and provide exceptional customer service to both our clients and tenants.
